The ECNG Communications Task Force is co-chaired by Dawn Neumann and Matt Doiron. This task force gathers important announcements and information relevant to career development in the rehabilitation field and disseminates them through social media, ACRM newsletters, and the ACRM website.

This includes information on:

  • Grant resources and grant writing
  • Job interviewing tips
  • Work/ life balance
  • Tips for promotion and tenure
  • Getting started with research
  • Initiating collaborations
  • Finding good mentors
  • … and more!

This task force also develops communications to help promote the ECNG and recruit members.

We are currently looking to fill the position of ECNG Communications Task Force Chair-Elect for 2015. This person will transition to co-chair for 2016-17, replacing Dawn Neumann. Responsibilities of the chair-elect include:

  • Supporting the co-chairs and task force efforts
  • Participating in ECNG Communication Task Force calls every other month
  • Participating in ECNG Executive Committee conference calls every other month.

In preparation for transition to co-chair in 2016, this person will be included in all of the co-chair activities.

Dawn Neumann will transition to past chair in 2016 and will still be available for guidance and assistance during this time. Responsibilities of co-chair are to promote and partake in activities that advance the mission of the task force with the assistance of the Communication Task Force membership. The co-chair is also responsible for putting together the resources and content (provided by members) for the e-newsletter that goes out quarterly to our members.

The only criteria to be eligible for an executive position, is your membership with ACRM, and willingness to be active in the ECNG Communications Task Force. You can be at any stage in your career to hold this position (early, mid, or late). Please send nominations and inquiries to Dawn Neumann, no later than 2 March 2015.
