Membership Information
Our
Invitation
In
this era of managed care, there is an increasing emphasis on functional
outcomes and the need for research to document the efficacy of rehabilitation
interventions.
A
key objective of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine
(ACRM) is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for networking
and dissemination of information which promotes and facilitates rehabilitation
research.
By
educating, collaborating, sharing information and resources, and assisting
our interdisciplinary rehabilitation colleagues, we can accomplish
a great deal more than working in more isolated practice and research
settings.

Message
from Cynthia Dahlberg, MA, CCC, CPHQ
Member-At-Large,
ACRM Board of Governors.
As
membership chair, I am asking all current ACRM members to step up to
the plate and consider recruiting new members. This word of mouth marketing
is a powerful tool, as the benefits of ACRM are more believable and
compelling when heard directly from a friend or colleague. So please
scout around for dynamic, enthusiastic rehabilitation researchers
we are the organization for them! Also consider approaching your organization
to join the ACRM Partnership Program to provide benefits to your organization
and increase participation of your staff, including residents and students.
The ACRM is offering several special introductory
offers for new members:
What
Are Some Member Benefits to an ACRM Membership?
- Members Only website at www.acrm.org
- Monthly Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation subscription
- Quarterly newsletter Rehabilitation Outlook
- Active networking through interdisciplinary special interest
groups
- Updates on legislative policy and promotion of policies for
rehabilitation services
- Notification of grant opportunities
- Reduced fees for the Annual ACRM Conference showcasing
rehabilitation research
- Becoming a contributor to a dynamic community of your peers
If
you have questions regarding membership, the Partnership program or
the organization, please contact me at 303-789-8228, or Ric Morgan,
Executive Director at 317-915-2250 or e-mail Rmorgan@acrm.org.
