Deborah L. Wilkerson Early Career Award Fund

Note in the memo line that it is for the Deborah L. Wilkerson Memorial Fund. The ACRM was granted in September 1937 exemption status from federal income tax under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. ACRM
is establishing a memorial fund to honor Deborah L. Wilkerson, a beloved
member, former President (2003), and ACRM Fellow (2005). Deborah had many
interests but was particularly devoted to improving the quality of rehabilitation
and independent living services for people who needed them. She had a
commitment to person-centered services and was an advocate for individuals
with disabilities. Funds
raised will
be used to fund the "Deborah L. Wilkerson
Early Career Award for Rehabilitation Research" which
will be awarded each year during the Annual ACRM-ASNR conference. Details on eligibility and nomination criteria will be forthcoming..
